Learning Disability Support

Bespoke, empowering support for adults with learning disabilities across Derbyshire — building skills, self-belief and a life that feels like your own.

What is a learning disability?

A learning disability is a lifelong neurological difference that can affect how a person understands new or complex information, learns new skills and copes independently. It affects everyone differently some people need only light support, others need consistent, specialist care.

Whatever the level of need, our starting point is always the same: the person. We focus on what someone can do, what they’d like to be able to do, and how we can support them to get there.

How we help

We guarantee thoughtful, consistent support for people with learning disabilities — involving every individual in activities that encourage growth and understanding. Levels of support are tailored: someone with a mild learning disability may need only a few hours of support each week, while others may require intensive round-the-clock care throughout their lives.

Frequently asked

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Our team is a phone call away and always happy to help.

Do you support people with complex needs?
Yes. We support people across the full range of learning disability — including those with complex health needs, autism, sensory needs and behaviours that challenge.
Yes. We work closely with commissioners, families and the person themselves to plan transitions carefully, whether from a family home, residential setting or hospital.
We use easy-read plans, accessible communication and regular one-to-one time. Wherever possible, decisions about a person’s life are made with them, not for them.
With the person’s consent, absolutely. Families often know people best, and we value them as partners in planning and reviewing support.
